Since 1920, the Zaremba family has been known throughout Northeast Ohio for creating award-winning, family-oriented neighborhoods that enrich and complement the heartbeat of each of its communities’ surrounding areas.
A combination of Zaremba’s clear-cut vision, architectural creativity and a tradition of quality craftsmanship have resulted in exceptional, highly demanded communities throughout the region. We create convenient, pedestrian-friendly communities that add to your quality of life.
For nearly 100 years and four generations, Zaremba has been a trusted name in new home construction, property management and real estate solutions. Founded by Alex Zaremba in 1920 as Zaremba and Son Builders, the home remodeling contractor company experienced unprecedented demand following the post-World War II economic boom between 1945 and 1960.
During this time, he capitalized on this opportunity by expanding into other segments of the business, including: multi-family housing, rental properties, luxury condominiums, as well as residential and retail shopping centers.
In the 1960s, Alex Zaremba transitioned the company to his son Walter Zaremba. After two decades at the helm, Walter then passed it onto his three sons: Walter, Nathan and Timothy. In the early 1990s, the brothers divided the company to focus on three different segments of construction and management, thus branching into three new companies with specific goals in mind.
In 1996, Nathan Zaremba formed Zaremba Inc. to concentrate on the housing market in Greater Cleveland. Nathan’s sons, Matthew and Nathan, Jr., manage operations and purchasing, respectively.
Zaremba Inc.’s housing development in Cleveland includes: Beacon Place at Church Square; MillCreek, the single largest new home community built since the 1940s; WoodHaven; Herron Row; the Bath House in Tremont; Greyton Court in Cleveland Heights; and The Avenue District in downtown Cleveland. It is through these communities that Zaremba exemplifies his ability to work with city government, neighborhood groups, banks and homebuyers to create new city neighborhoods with old-fashioned charm and character.
Zaremba also has left his mark in suburban neighborhoods, such as: Barnsley Way and MacIntosh Farms, the award-winning development in Broadview Heights; HarborWalk in Lorain; SouthLake in Brunswick; and Chapman Grove in Medina.
In 2009, Zaremba formed Home Again Restoration Company. Since then, he has served as a home remodeling contractor, rehabbing 25 homes in greater Cleveland inner-ring suburbs and building three new homes in Shaker Heights.
Recently, Zaremba Inc. extended its market presence, building homes on your lot. Your home … Your Way … On Your Lot. Either choose one of our existing floor plans, modify one to meet your needs and budget, or let us design a home that truly fits your personality, lifestyle and budget.
At Zaremba Inc., we stress the importance of quality craftsmanship, value, style, and energy efficiency in every home we build — a tradition that has been passed down through four generations. With principles deeply rooted in product quality, customer service and architectural integrity, Zaremba, Inc. continues its commitment to building homes and neighborhoods that enrich the lives of its residents.
